For information on types of giving, see our association's page on type of legacy giving at Planned Gifts. Additionally, our association has provided ten videos on giving that may help you decide what might help you leave a lasting gift. We always advise that you seek your tax expert's advise and your estate counsel's advise before making any decisions. If you would like to talk further confidentially, please email Stan Herman (if your computer will not use the hotlink provided, this is Stewardship AT EmersonUUChapel DOT org with no spaces and replacing WORDS with the symbol indicated).
The legal name of our chapel (to give to your estate attorney or to insert in your will or trust) is Emerson Unitarian Universalist Chapel, Inc., and our address is 73 Strecker Road, Ellisville, MO 63011
A Stewardship Story for All Ages, and the Stewardship Quiz.
You may notice a blue chalice symbol on some Emersonian name tags. This symbol indicates that these members and friends have become a Chalice Lighters a program of our district (the Central Midwest District of the Unitarian Universalist Association). Our liaison would love to include you in this group. Three times a year, a Chalice Lighter responds to a request to provide the amount he or she has indicated (as little as $10, but as much as he or she would like) to help a congregation (selected by a committee of our district). Once you elect to become a Chalice Ligher, you will be contacted three times each year to respond to this "call" to extend UUism in our district--close to home. Emerson has won a "Chalice call" several times to help us when we most need it. Play it forward! Simply print and complete this form at any time and drop it into the collection plate.
